The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is working to improve the environment and public health conditions of low-income and minority communities. EPA also continues to make effective responses to COVID-19 issues a top priority. As part of these efforts, this notice announces EPA re-opening the State Environmental Justice Cooperative Agreement Program (SEJCA) and the availability of funds for US States, Territories, Tribal Governments, and local governments to propose projects focusing on COVID-19 and other areas as identified in Section I. The SEJCA program provides funding to eligible entities to work collaboratively with underserved communities to understand, promote and integrate approaches to provide meaningful and measurable improvements to public health and/or the environment in those communities.
