    Join CSTE’s Early Career Professionals Workgroup on Wednesday, June 27 at 2:00 pm EDT for a webinar entitled “The Art of Applying for Grants and Other Funding Opportunities.”

     

    Pursuing grant opportunities is a key mechanism
    to build epidemiology capacity.

     

    This webinar will focus on the art of writing and responding to grants and other funding opportunities to support epidemiology personnel and activities. Ultimately, grants provide opportunities for career development through dissemination of your experiences and lessons learned via presentations and publications. The webinar presenter from the California Department of Public Health will discuss the identification of appropriate funding opportunities and provide guidance on the development of proposals.

    Registration is required to attend this webinar.

    By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

    • Identify appropriate sources and opportunities for funding
    • Discuss the importance of fully understanding the requirements of the funding opportunity
    • Discuss how to develop a funding proposal, including letter of intent, narrative, budget, and other possible required documents

    The presenter is Cheryl Starling, RN, Nurse Consultant and Project Manager at the California Department of Public Health.
