The Call for Abstracts is now open!

Thank you for your interest in submitting an abstract to be considered for inclusion in the 2019 National Conference on Tobacco or Health meeting agenda. Please see below for Submission Rules, Submission Requirements, Abstract Submission Deadlines, Frequently Asked Questions, and Contact Information should you need additional assistance.

Abstract submissions will close at 11:59 PM Pacific on Friday, November 16, 2018. No abstracts submitted after this deadline will be considered for inclusion.

Submission Rules
Professionals working in the field of U.S. tobacco control are welcomed and encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration. Conference organizers aim to include a broad selection of content from diverse perspectives in the meeting agenda. If you have work to share from your experience in the field that fits under one of the conference’s 11 Program Area topics, we invite and encourage you to submit your work for consideration.

Submission Requirements
You will be asked to provide the following information via the abstract submission process:

  • Primary Presenter information (name, credentials, contact information, title, organization, brief biography, disclosure statement)
  • Co-Presenter information (same)
  • Session title
  • Session description
  • Three learning objectives for your session

You may use this document to pre-populate your abstract submission fields to make completing the online submission form more convenient. All abstract submissions must be submitted through this online form; NCTOH organizers will not accept Word documents in lieu of online submissions.

Abstract Submission Deadlines
Abstract submissions will close on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11:59 pm Pacific time. No abstracts will be accepted after this deadline.

Abstract review will be conducted by Program Area Subcommittees beginning in November 2018 and concluding in January 2019. Program Area Co-Chairs will review abstract scores and make final decisions by March 2019. Abstract selection notifications will be sent in April 2019.

Every abstract submitted will receive an email notification whether selected or declined.

2019 NNPHI Annual Conference Abstract Submissions

Call for Abstracts

The National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI) is seeking abstracts for the 2019 NNPHI Annual Conference, May 20 – May 22, in Washington, DC. NNPHI is offering three options for abstract submissions that include: a poster session, breakfast roundtable discussion, and breakout sessions. Descriptions of the three options are provided below.

Submission Requirements and Deadline

You will be asked to provide the following information via the abstract submission process:

  • Primary Presenter information (name, credentials, contact information, title, organization, brief biography, disclosure statement)
  • Co-Presenter information (same)
  • Topic of Interest
  • Session title
  • Session description
  • Three learning objectives
  • Why is this presentation/design session particularly relevant and timely?
  • Which component of the conference theme, “From Ideas to Innovation: Partnerships, Policy, and Practice” does your abstract fit into?

To submit an abstract, you will be required to create an account using your email address. Once an account has been created, you will be able to submit and edit your abstract until the deadline, Friday, November 16th, 2018 11:59 PM PT.

*Abstracts will not be accepted after the deadline.

The Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP) invites you to submit a workshop, session, or poster proposal for the 2019 AMCHP Annual Conference. The 2019 AMCHP conference will be held on March 9-12, 2019 at the San Antonio Riverside Marriott; San Antonio, Texas.

Tribal leaders, health directors, policy specialists, advocates, and allies are invited to submit abstracts for the National Indian Health Board’s 2018 National Tribal Health Conference, taking place September 17-20, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

“Tribal Unity to Advance the Promise of Health”

The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) encourages presentations highlighting innovative and community-driven approaches to improving quality of health systems, strengthening the business of medicine, pathways for successful advocacy efforts, enhancing government to government relationships, and evidenced based, wise, best or promising practices developed in and for Tribal communities.
